The state of Connecticut is experiencing an upsurge in interest in sustainable food for colleges, public and private schools, and hospitals. There is now a shortage of locally-grown organic food.
The Connecticut chapter of the Northeast Organic Farmers' Association (CT-NOFA) is sponsoring a conference entitled "Getting Started in Organic Farming" to be held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Goodwin College, East Hartford, CT, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Also, the CT-NOFA Winter Conference will be Saturday, March 1, at Western Connecticut State University, Danbury, CT. Registration information for both events can be found at the CT-NOFA website: www.ctnofa.org. CT-NOFA was founded in 1982.
